In this environment our mission is to design business that begin and end with customers. It all comes down to choice: Customers want products and services that meet their unique requirements, and we know how to deliver on those choices quickly.
When it comes to strategic vs. tactical solution, it’s easy to fall into either/or thinking—that is, either strategic solution is better, or tactical solution is better. This is especially true when you realize which type of solution the customer is looking for. We tend to believe that our type of solution must be superior. But regardless of whether customer is looking for strategic or a tactical solution, we must come to realize that both types are critical to success; and we must learn to appreciate our business partner and customers way of thinking and value the contribution they can make towards accomplishing our goals.
So for us the term strategic vs. tactical, it’s not to imply that they are at odds with one another; rather it’s to contrast the difference between the two, so you can begin to distinguish and appreciate those differences.
Everyone knows that customers want things faster. But what do we mean by "speed"? Speed means instant gratification and high-velocity response. It can mean receiving an urgent requirement document overnight, or fixing a critical bug on the stop. It can also mean bringing new business idea into a technology implementation within a month of their being modeled.
